3 Simple and Cute Valentines Day Treats

IMG_5572

Continuing on with my Valentines Day Series of posts, today I’m showing you how to make three super easy but delicious treats. These make for perfect snacks for a theme party or packed up as a gift!

All three of these treats take minimal effort, and ingredients, which make me love them even more! I’m going to show you how to make chocolate dipped pretzels, chocolate button pretzels, and white chocolate hearts.

Here’s what you’ll need:

For the chocolate dipped pretzels:

Pretzels

White Chocolate

Heart Sprinkles

For the Chocolate Button Pretzels:

Pretzels

Milk chocolate swirl Hershey Kisses

M&Ms ( I went with the valentines day themed ones)

White Chocolate Hearts:

Heart Molds

White chocolate

M&M’s

Heart sprinkles

  • You can use whatever candy you want but I just made use of the ingredients I had on hand! Coloring the chocolate would also be so cute!

How to make them:

Chocolate Dipped Pretzels:

  1. Melt chocolate over a double boiler (about 5 mins) or in the microwave (1 min at a time stirring constantly in-between intervals)
  2. Dip your pretzel in the melted chocolate and shake off excess

Chocolate Button Pretzels

  1. Place pretzels on a lined baking sheet with Hershey Kisses on top of the pretzels
  2. Bake pretzels at 175 for about 6 minutes or until the Kisses start to slightly melt, be sure to keep a close eye on them. If you let the pretzels melt for too long you wont get the “button” appearance
  3. After the kisses have slightly melted place M&Ms on top and push the chocolate down. This will give it the cute button look!
  4. Immediately place in the fridge to cool to ensure the chocolate doesn’t continue to melt.

White Chocolate Hearts:

  1. Melt chocolate over a double boiler (about 5 mins) or in the microwave (1 min at a time stirring constantly in-between intervals)
  2. Place heart sprinkles and candy into the chocolate mold
  3. Carefully pour melted chocolate into molds (mine took about a tablespoon each)
  4. Place in the fridge to cool for about an hour
  5. Once cool carefully remove from the mold
