Sephora Haul + 5 mini Reviews

recent sephora purchases

So if you know me at all you know I’m a total product junkie and love trying out new things. I try not to go into Sephora often because of the major damage it does on my credit card. Since I’ve recently run out of my go to products such as my UD Naked Skin Foundation (Full Review HERE) I figured this was the perfect time to try out some new items. I’ve only worn these products once or twice so I don’t know if I will like them long term but check out below for my first impressions on these products!

YSL #10 Beige Tribute: so far I am loving this lipstick! I solely purchased it because sssamantha (check out her instagram she’s incredible) uses it all the time and I now understand why. It is the nicest nude color that doesn’t make you look dead, and is the smoothest formulation that you will ever try! I’ve been pairing this with a mac lipstick to make it a touch more pink and it’s my new go to combo day or night. I know a lot of people liked my last favorite lip combo post (here) so let me know if you want to see this one too!

Kat Von D Lock It Tattoo Concealer: I had high hopes for this product but sadly it’s just not working for me, the coverage is nice but the product is quite thick and even the lightest shade is too dark for my under eye area. I wanted something to cover my dark circles and really brighten them up and this just doesn’t quite do the trick so it’ll definitely be making its way back to Sephora.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit: so far I’m really liking this product. The contour shades don’t come out too orang or ashy on me, and I’m in love with the middle yellow color for setting my under eyes! The product is really easy to blend out and a little goes a long way. The only downside is that I have the benefit holiday box set with all the box powders and that gives me a contour shade, blushes, and highlights. So I think I will use this more for nights out when I want a more dramatic contour rather than for every day when my hoola bronzer works just fine.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation: this is very similar to my UD Naked Skin foundation in terms of consistency that is very liquidly which I love. This allows me to build up the coverage little by little depending on if I want to wear if for day or night. Despite the time I find that it isn’t luminous but it does last quite a long time! Only downside so far is I find it sets quite quickly, this means I cant apply the product to my face and then blend it all out, rather I need to apply to one side, blend, apply to the other side, blend and so on until I am done with my face. Another little complaint I have is that they say you only need one pump to cover your face when in reality it takes me about 2.5 – 3.

Clinique Chubby Stick Woppin’ Watermelon: I absolutely love this product! It is so moisturizing and gives my lips the prettiest sheer shade of pink, I’ve even began adding a darker pink lip liner to it to give it more dimension. I find myself wearing it constantly and highly recommend you try it out!

Let me know if you have any of these items and what your thoughts are on them, I always love hearing what you guys thing! Also be sure to like this post and follow me on Instagram and Twitter to see when I post and me wearing the products 🙂

  1. I really want to try the Nars foundation! I have recently got the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation and I don’t feel it covers well and I need about 4 pumps to cover my face. I am a total foundation addict!

    1. Really?! UD is my favourite coverage and I only need 2 pumps max, but if I use a beauty blender I don’t like the coverage as much and need more product. Definitely give the Nars a try, it’s all personal preference 🙂

      1. I love Estee Lauder Double Wear…The UD one was a bit of a shock after being used to using that! Lol! I’ve tried UD with beauty blender and a kabuki brush…it’s fingers tomorrow.

      2. I like it with my fingers too! A little tip I’ve found is to mix around the product on the back of my hand first… Not sure why but it seems to helps make the product go a lot further. I’ve been wanting to try that but I feel like I’ll probably dislike it because it’s so full coverage! I tried Makeup Forever HD and couldn’t stand it lol
