I’ve had so much fun posting my travel guides from Thailand and Bali over the past months and a bit but since that trip was a while ago, I wanted to post something that was in a little more real-time. This past weekend we celebrated my friends 25th birthday at Honey Salt. If you’re from Vancouver you have probably seen this showcased on countless Instagram accounts as it’s quickly become one of the most popular destinations in the city… and for good reason. It is absolutely beautiful in there and I’m obsessed with the color scheme. All the greens and muted warm pinks remind me of my room when I was younger and I’m dying to add some of those elements into my room again.
The food was amazing and the service was great. We were seated in the dining room at one of the green booths (a must) and have quickly become obsessed with the location. I think I may even go back for my Birthday Dinner this summer! If you’re going for brunch try the Galette – I made mine into an omelet to cut back on carbs, pancakes, brioche french toast, apple sausage, almond butter smoothie, and DO NOT forget about the Caesar bar or the chocolate banana cake. It’s a game changer.

I posted most of these photos to my Instagram story (find me @carissaemma) but I wanted to document them here as part of my future Vancouver travel guide + a new series that I want to start posting which are photo Diaries. think a little less text and more of a collection of photos like the old facebook days. I hope you like this style of post and can expect to see a few more in the future mixed in with my travel guides. If you’ve been to Honey Salt let me know what you think and what I need to try for next time!
