Seminyak is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bali. Think of it as Kuta’s older, classier, more luxurious sister. Seminyak is filled with tons of shopping, great eats, and plenty of opportunities to party or relax. We spent most of our days, walking around, popping into little shops, buying way too much, and finding the best spots to eat. This was a lot different from the rest of our SEA trip because unlike in Thailand there isn’t really street food in Seminyak. Which after about 4 weeks of pad thai, we were more than happy to change it up. I also suggest buying a carry on bag for your luggage because we shopped so much. It has a huge variety of shops, including boutique clothing stores, furniture stores, markets and art galleries.
This city took my shopaholic game to a new level, if I saw it and liked it, it was coming home with me. PSA, they have the most amazing macrame pieces so if that’s something you’re into, keep lots of room in the backpacks or suitcase. I personally brought home 4 gorgeous macrame plant hangers for $30 Canadian. THIRTY DOLLARS, do you know how insane that is. You can barely get a mug from Anthropologie for $30 let alone gorgeous planters. Anyways, the shopping is game changing so prepare to open your wallets.
Just like all over Bali, one thing you can’t miss is watching a beautiful sunset from the beach or at one of the many beach bars. Seminyak has something for everyone, and I was really glad we were here for about 5 days. This post was getting crazy long (like always) so I’ve broken it up into a few sections and you can click the ones that interest you or check them all out to help plan your time in Seminyak.
