Hey everyone! As you can probably tell, I love having litter series on my blogs. I wanted to start a series that would also be fun for me to look back on and see what I was up to and loving at the time. Unlike a Just 5 Things, this will be an update on what I’m reading, doing, listening to etc. this format idea came from Betheny Menzel, a ton of other bloggers also do a series like this, but I remember seeing it on her blog a long time ago and loved it, so I’m bringing it over here!
Favorite Meals: Zuchini Noodles with Alfredo sauce, chicken, peas and sundried tomatoes! I cannot get enough of this dinner and it’s perfect for Keto. I also made this bon appetit charred scallion sauce and it was life changing. I want to eat it with everything and it’s definitely going to be a staple this summer!
Reading: This month our book club is reading Elenor Olaphant is Completely Fine. I just finished it and ended up really liking it! The first half was a bit tough to get through but I really enjoyed the 2nd half. I’m also going to be finishing up last months book, By Chance Alone.
Eyeing up: A gold Cartier Love ring. My champagne birthday is coming up and I think I’m going to treat myself to the wider gold Love ring. It’s just such a classic investment and I think it’s the perfect token for a birthday.
Wearing on repeat: I have been living in my HM mom jeans. They are so comfy and the wash goes with everything.
On my face: With summer here, I love a lighter easier makeup look. I’ve been loving all the Summer Fridays masks but especially Jet Lag as a primer before makeup. I also can’t stop using Glossier Bubble Wrap. It is the only thing that saves my dry lips!
Listening to: I typically listen to podcasts over music, and one I always go back to is Fat Mascara. I just love Jess and jen’s banter and their interview styles. As a beauty junkie this is the perfect thing to listen to as I rush to get ready in the morning.
Watching: I’m a total TV junkie so I’m usually watching something new. I recently finished the 3rd season of Animal Kingdom, which I love, and am watching the new season of Jessica Jones.
Working out: I’ve been trying to get back into a workout routine and find something that works for me. I’ve tried Sarah’s Day E-book and it was ok, but I personally do better in a class environment. I’m looking into f45 or Spinning for the month of July.
Wishing I was better at: Waking up early. I think this one will be a constant. I so wish I was a morning person and not, the roll out of bed 10 mins before you NEED to leave the house person but I’m working on it.
